The Long Island, N.Y. native, who’s 30, “got into computers” while in high school and had a yen for marketing as well. But the love of marketing was greater and from that combination a career was born.

Atlanta, GA (3-15-2008) -- In the late 1990s, Jason Swenk was providing web design and development expertise for Arthur Anderson LLP, working with numerous Fortune 100 companies.
While there, he said he “saw the need” and “the niche” by which to blend the creative, marketing and technological disciplines of the business. And as a result Solar Velocity was founded in 1999 by Swenk, now its chief executive officer, and Kirby J. Winters Jr., chief operating officer and chairman of the board of directors.
Today, this Smyrna-based interactive and technology company has received accolades from the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, being named a ‘Top 25 Business in Atlanta’ in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Additionally, it was selected as a Best Place to Work in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Having the company honored for the quality of its workplace made Swenk especially happy. “That’s our goal,” he said. “The more the people like where they work, the better the product. The end result is for all employees to be happy – and millionaires.”
